If you wanted to step up to another set 'just because', the Cloyes Street roller, #9-1157 is what you need which is a mid level performance set, and it's still a single roller setup because that's all that will fit behind that plastic timing cover. That 1/2" single roller is stout enough, and that bit of slack really isn't going to hurt you. Gear's quality is inferior to Cloyes, but they aren't what I would call junk either. Gear and even then, depending on demand, they actually make stuff for each other. The ones that aren't made by Cloyes are made by S.A. The Melling timing set and the othersposting and the one you have in the engine already are made by the same company - Cloyes Gear.
